Summer Succulents

Succulents. Beautiful, beautiful succulents. With almost no maintenance required, they make for the perfect apartment decor. Last year, Jd and I bought some for our apartment to incorporate in our picture wall, aka the only big wall in our old apartment that was good for hanging art (or anything) on. Since we couldn't paint any of the white walls we decided to just fill up the living room/kitchen with colorful pictures, art, and plants.

Yesterday, Jd and I went to Strange's on a whim to walk through the many rows of plants. Naturally, we gravitated towards the back, where the succulents are all lined up or hanging in their beautiful tiny terrariums. After browsing for quite some time, we ended up purchasing several new succulents. The apartment we live in now has a wonderful porch where we can keep our succulents outside so they grow much larger. To say the least, I am SO excited to watch our new green friends grow.

Aren't they so beautiful! I wish we could have bought them all. If you live in the Greater Richmond area, I highly suggest you check out Strange's, whether you want succulents or not, they have a large greenhouse filled with almost any plant you need or desire. I have been going here with my parents since I was about 5 years old and now that I live on my own, I still make the drive every spring or summer to get my plants. Seriously, go visit Strange's!
