Ready, set, go! And we're off, just like that.....
Jd and I are packing up our apartment and moving New York City. In three short weeks we are leaving Richmond, the city that I have called a home for 23 years, the city that Jd has called home for six years and the city we have called home together for the past four years. It's crazy, but with that being said, I thought it would be appropriate to share my travel essentials from Pinch Provisions.
If you haven't heard of Pinch Provisions then you have been missing out. I received my first 'Minimergency' Kit from one of my best friends, Annie, as a Christmas present several years ago. I still have it today, I mean it's seen better days, but I still have it and refill it because the size and color (pink glitter) is so great! However, now that we are moving to a new state I figured it was time for an upgrade so I got two more: a Minimergency Kit and (to remind me of home) the Virginia State of Emergency Kit.
Pinch Provison's States of Emergency Kits are great because they come in a durable tiny tin that's packed with 14 personal care essentials. The States of Emergency Kits are also unisex, so they make great gifts for men and women - hint, hint Father's Day is right around the corner and this is perfect dad's with the travel bug! Pinch Provisions also has Minimergency Kits for Him (Hemergency Kits) if you want more options.
I love the States of Emergency Kits because they are slim and fit great in a clutch or crossbody. They come with the 14 most essential personal care items, from advil to fresh breath spritz, you can't go wrong with the States of Emergency Kits.
My second kit is the Acid Wash Minimergency Kit for her, with 17 essential personal care items. This one includes the same items from the States of Emergency Kits, plus three additional items for her, such as clear nail polish and polish remover. I LOVE the Minimergeny kit so much because it comes in the cutest pouch and there are so many color options. If you haven't already noticed from my previous posts, gold is one of my favorite colors.
Curious as to why I consider these essential items when moving to NYC? Well, I will be going up to New York several weeks before Jd with just a suitcase! Seriously, I am getting on a train with just myself and a suitcase and moving to New York. It's crazy. I'll be staying with a friend for few weeks while Jd finishes work in Richmond. These Pinch Provision kits are perfect for me because I don't have much room for anything other than clothes, shoes and the essentials. I am so excited and terrified to move all at once, but I cannot wait to start this new chapter with Jd by my side.
Stay tuned for all the updates to come with this exciting new adventure! Share your adventures of NYC or travel tips in the comments below!
