Feeling Like a Boss?

I went home to Richmond this weekend for a quick visit and found a lovely package in the mail from Tiffanie at XO Glitter and Grace. I first spotted this mug on my Instagram feed and have had my eye on it ever since. I am so thrilled it finally arrived in the mail!!!

Tiffanie has a variety of custom, handwritten mugs at her Etsy shop, including my 'Boss Lady' mug, which cna be purchased here. If you don't see a design you like, Tiffanie will customize any mug with your favorite phrase! I am definitely considering her for all my Christmas gifts this year (even though it's still far away), since I will be ordering everything online to avoid the madness that New York is about to unleash on me over the holidays. Plus, if you didn't notice, she gives you the cutest little canvas bag with your purchase! I have shared some of my other favorite designs by XO Glitter and Grace below, click through the images to purchase!

I am writing on the train now (thank goodness for Wifi), staring out the window and thinking about how ironic it is that I am posting about a 'Boss Lady' mug because right now I feel quite small and very 'non-boss-like'. It's hard having to leave my family again for a place so far away and foreign to me. However, this mug somehow comforts me because it reminds me of the confidence I have and that deep down I am tough enough to get survive anything. Some of you may think it's silly because I am going back to one of our country's most amazing cities, but it's hard leaving your comfort zone and being (somewhat) all alone. As much as I love my new job, there's no way I would have been able to accept it if it wasn't for the support from my family, Jd and Emily. I am so lucky that my best friend already lives in NYC, because I'm not sure how I would survive without her. If you guys are reading this, BIG thank you for being there for me.

As I packed everything up this morning, I obviously had to a picture of my travel essentials for the next six hours: kate spade luggage, iPad, Pinch Provisions Minimergency kit, sunnies, a good nail polish and my 'Boss Lady' mug - plus a pair of fabulous pearls because you never know where you may end up, right?
