If you know me, then you know I love coffee. If you've lived with me, like my best friend Anna Mae Weaver, then you know coffee runs through my veins and I have like 10 cups per day. Anyway, Jd has been obsessed with Caramel Macchiatos and since we have our own Cuisinart espresso machine, we figured we would save some money and make them ourselves at home - which led to this post about super simple homemade vanilla simple syrup with Sauer's Vanilla. You can use this simple syrup in coffee, recipes, tea and more!
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of Sauer's Vanilla Extract
- Bring sugar and water to a boil in a pot or saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Let cool, then stir in vanilla extract
Note: you can double the recipe to make larger batches and reserve in fridge
