BRISKET AND ONIONS
I've become obsessed with slow cookers recently and purchased one from Hamilton Beach. Jd and I are so busy and usually don't get home until 7pm, which leaves little time for working out, making dinner and winding down. It's so hard to cook a good meal after work, we're usually rushing around and end up ordering take out, so it's nice that I can finally have a good meal ready for us as soon as we walk in the door! Today I am sharing the first or many slow cooker recipes to come this season! This brisket is super simple and you probably have most of the ingredients in your home already. It takes 5 minutes to prep and then you can go about your business until you're ready to eat. Scroll down and enjoy!
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 yellow , sliced
1 red onions, sliced
3 1/2 pounds beef brisket
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups beef broth
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoon soy sauce
Combine ingredients in Slow Cooker (ours is Hamilton Beach). Cover and cook in the slow cooker on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, until the brisket is very tender. Let rest on the warm setting for 30 minutes before serving.
Use the sauce to make a gravy by pouring in a saucepan over medium-high heat and adding flour SLOWLY until the sauce has thicken to your liking. Serve on a platter and enjoy!
